Is FarmMate really free?
Yes. All current features are free. A paid precision-farming add-on is planned for later; what is free today stays free.
How do I sign up?
Open farm.factoraerp.com, enter your phone number and type the code we send by SMS. There is no password.
Which countries are supported?
Sign-up by SMS works for phone numbers in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Ethiopia and DR Congo.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. After your first sign-in, you can record offline. FarmMate syncs your records when you are back online. You need a connection to sign in and to receive SMS codes.
Is there an Android or iPhone app?
Android and iOS apps are coming. Today you can install FarmMate from your browser: open it and choose "Add to home screen" or "Install".
Which languages are available?
English and Kiswahili. You can switch at any time.
Which farm types are covered?
Poultry (broilers, layers, kienyeji), dairy, maize and beans, and vegetables have guides today. Others such as fish, pigs, greenhouses, fruit and bees are planned.
Who can see my farm records?
Only you and the people you invite, according to the role you give them (Manager, Worker or Viewer). Workers do not see phone numbers or money records. We do not sell your information.
Can I get my data out?
Yes. You can download your information, and farm owners can download all of a farm's records. You can also delete your account.
Can I import my farm boundary?
Yes. Draw it on the map, walk it with your phone's GPS, or import a GPX or KML file.
